What exactly are veneers?

Since enamel cannot grow back, this process cannot be reversed.
How are veneers placed?
Most patients can get dental veneers in just two visits. After your consultation, in which we will determine whether you are right for veneers or not, we will prep the teeth by painless removing a layer of enamel. Next, impressions are taken of your teeth and sent to a dental lab.
It can take a dental lab anywhere from 2-4 weeks to create your veneers, after which, you will come back into our office to have them fitted. Once we check the fit and know that you are satisfied with the results, we will apply dental bonding between the tooth and your veneers before hardening it into place with a special light.
